==Notes of things to fix==
:Include note that authorisation bouts must occur at events or official practices as that's where SCA combat occurs. We have no jursidiction over people poking each other in their back yards, so it's not our business, and authorisations need to be our business.

:The practical combat test includes fencing against another fencer, and is observed and directed by the Authorising Fencing Marshal. In rare circumstances, where there is no other way for the fencer to undertake an authorisation, the Kingdom Fencing Marshal may act as the authorising marshal remotely, observing and directing the combat over a live video.
;Functional change
:Allows for obeservation and direction of a combat authorisation by the Kingdom Fencing Marshal remotely over video as a last resort.
;Reason
:There may be rare circumstances where an Authorising Fencing marshal is not physically able to be present. This allows for obeservation and direction of a combat authorisation by the Kingdom Fencing Marshal remotely over video as a last resort.
;For notes section
:April 2023 - Provision added for the Kingdom Fencing Marshal to obesrve and direct a combat authorisation as the Authorising Fencing Marshal via live video when no other options are available.

===8.1.5 in Authorisation procedures - General===
;Was
:Not in rules
;Now
:This test must occur within one month of the verbal test, and must be a dedicated practical combat test - it is not sufficient to simply have seen the fencer fight during a tournament, for example.
;Functional change
:Adds a timeframe for when a combat test can occur relative to the theory component, and ensures that the bouts must be part of an authorisation process.
;Reason
:There was no guidance previously.
