- Heavy Leather - 2007
- In 2007, a Society rules update changed the definition of heavy leather from "stiff, oak-tanned leather at least 1/8 inch (3.2mm) thick" to "stiff, oak-tanned leather nominally 11/64 inch (4.4mm) thick." 3.2mm is 8oz and 4.4mm is 11oz.
