General theory test
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding: Have the candidate explain in their own words or check vs questioning
- The rules of the lists (in intent, not word for word) - I understand this is a potentially dangerous activity, I need to be authorised to do more than training, I have to pass inspection, I have to wear the required armour and use weapons that meet the rules, if someone bounces my toys I can ask the Sovereign (Problematic in Lochac), Don't be a dick, Don't have to fight, no real weapons, no throwing/shooting things in tournaments.
- How to respond to 'Hold' - explain what you would do if someone calls hold
- When to call hold - explain what situations trigger a hold - broken...
- How plumed participants are killed
- How heavy combatants are killed / wounded (special note; two handed weapons, and single handed mass weapons)
- When is a participant / combatant helpless. How do you kill a helpless opponent.
- What do you need to do to be able to participate in combat
- Be sober
- Remember to wear all required armour (tell me what you need)
- Get everything inspected
