Assumed content and requirements

Siege Combat

  1. This handbook must be read in conjunction with the Kingdom of Lochac Fighters’ Handbook.
  2. All requirements contained here are in addition to the requirements stated there.
  3. If there is an unaddressed inconsistency in requirements between Armoured Combat and Siege Combat, the stricter standard will apply.

Target Siege

  1. This handbook must be read in conjunction with the Kingdom of Lochac Target Archery and Thrown Weapons Handbook.
  2. All requirements relating to contained here are in addition to the range safety requirements stated there.
  3. If there is an unaddressed inconsistency in range safety requirements between Target Archery and Target Siege, the safer standard will apply.

Consistency with Society Rules

  1. The Society Siege Engine Handbook is a reference for this handbook, and where relevant has been recreated here.
  2. While harmony with Society rules is desired, harmony with the exemptions Lochac has in some areas of combat means that this document is designed to render reading the Society handbook unnecessary.

Consistency with Mundane Law

  1. This document acknowledges different legal prohibitions within the Kingdom, and does not seek to set out what is and is not permitted.
  2. The document describes all engines and munitions as though permitted on the field of war. This should not be read as granting permission to employ such devices in the areas where they are prohibited by mundane law.
  3. The Lochac Siege Marshal may publish, and seek to keep current, details on what devices are legal in which parts of the Kingdom, but accepts no liability for any errors.
  4. It is the duty of the marshal-in-charge, of any event that seeks to promote the use of siege engines, to ensure what devices are permitted is known to those who may attend.
  5. It is the duty of those wishing to bring siege engines to a field of war, to ensure such devices are permitted at the venue and in all locations that may be travelled through to attend.
  6. The Kingdom and its parent corporate bodies accept no liability in the event of legal issues with the transportation of siege equipment.
