Authorisation preparation

  1. Youth armoured combat authorising marshals must be fully prepared before an authorisation:
    1. Have the correct authorisation form ready.
    2. Make sure there is an authorised youth available and equipped.
    3. Ensure the parent or guardian (not nominated caregiver) will either be present, or confirm they have witnessed youth armoured combat previously.
    4. Have a fighting area prepared, with clearly defined limits and a 2m exclusion zone beyond them.
    5. A marshal's pole.
    6. A selection of weapons and shields is helpful.
    7. Have a copy of the rules.
